The restaurant is named after the year that Georgetown University, which is located nearby, was founded. The building that houses 1789 Restaurant & Bar dates back to the 18th century. Sink or Swim Cocktail Recipe from 1789 Restaurant & Bar, Washington, D.C.
Sink or Swim Cocktail is a Modern Classic that will remind you of your Favorite Old School Classics like the Manhattan and the Vieux Carré. It is one of 12 New Cocktails created at the 1789 Restaurant & Bar to mark the 12 Days of Christmas in 2006.
Yield: 1 Cocktail
Materials
- 1 1/2 ounces Brandy
- 1/2 ounce Sweet Vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to and ice-filled mixing glass. Stir until chilled.
- Strain into a chilled Coupe or Martini glass.
- Garnish as you please.
