An Old School Cocktail with a Modern Twist
This is a good classic-style cocktail that will be right at home beside an Old Fashioned Cocktail, a Manhattan or a Martini. By “classic-style cocktail” I mean that it makes the liquor the star of the show – the mixers only serve to enhance, not distract. And the combination of Rum and is Mezcal is unexpectedly delicious.
I have made this several times since I first discovered the recipe. (It helps that the ingredients are so common that I always have them at hand. Do not underestimate this when trying a new recipe. It does make a difference in how often you will make – and even how much you will like – a recipe.)
