Cynar
Cynar is a bitter Italian liqueur made from artichoke leaves, herbs and botanicals. Its name comes from the Latin word for artichoke, “cynara.” Cynar has a distinct herbal and slightly sweet flavor profile with a bitter undertone. It is often enjoyed as a digestif or used in cocktails to add depth and complexity.
Some popular cocktails that include Cynar are Cynar Negroni, Cynar Julep, Artichoke Hold and Little Italy.
