Sour Mix
Sour Mix is a key ingredient in many cocktails, particularly those that have a tangy or tart flavor profile. It is a combination of citrus juice (typically lemon and lime) and sweetener, which provides a balance of acidity and sweetness to enhance the overall taste of the drink.
Sour Mix can be found in a variety of well-known, popular cocktails, like Margaritas, Whiskey Sours and Tom Collins.
Commercial Sour Mix can be found in most supermarkets (look for brands that use sugar and not high fructose corn syrup), but making your own at home is easy and allows for customization and using fresh ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1 cup freshly squeezed Lime Juice
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a pitcher.
